Welcome to the Lane Lab @ the University of Saskatchewan

We combine theory and techniques from ecology, evolutionary biology, quantitative genetics and physiology to better understand adaptation of populations to their natural environments. We are interested both in curiousity-driven and applied research. For the former, we work with wild mammal systems that have been studied for multiple decades (North American red squirrels and Columbian ground squirrels). For the latter, we are investigating novel threats to endangered bat species on Canada's prairies.

NEWS: We're hoping to recruit three new students to work on bats in Saskatchewan and the Yukon (please click on the embedded links above).
We're also hiring a project coordinator to support our Saskatchewan bat work (link is here).
